Accessing Safe Images

I often get asked about finding appropriate images and image citation.  We know that it is crucial that we model and teach students about Creative Credit and Copyright. Common Sense Media has great lessons for all ages on this topic.  From the Scope and Sequence click on lessons with this yellow icon to find great lessons to get students thinking about Creative Credit.

Photos for Class 
This site is a great place to find appropriate images for education. The correct citation is automatically downloaded with the image.

 

Pics For Learning
 This site has safe images that can be used in educational settings.  When you find an image you want to download, the photographer and citation will be available.
Pixabay 
 All images and videos on Pixabay are released free of copyrights under Creative Commons CC0. You may download, modify, distribute, and use them  royalty free for anything you like, even in commercial applications. Attribution is not required. You use the smart search filter to block explicit images but it isn’t always 100% accurate.
